I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of the people on the currency board and cointalk who made me feel welcome and didn't ridicule me for some stupid questions I had about currency. This was the only way to learn and purchase the proper reference books and in general to get started with collecting currency. On an another board when I started collecting coins and wasn't in the field for 50 years I was bashed for not knowing what was what and they left it at that. With great appreciation Randy.Beck
i dont know everything, and have been collecting for quite a while. And i STILL ask some silly questions from time to time. Dont ever feel ashamed or embarrased for asking what you think is a stupid question. I can promise if you ask, others will learn from the answer as well
I personally do not think one person could ever know everything about anything! There are a lot of questions I see here from new folks and well seasoned folks that I still look up... You see, thats the fun of it..discovery, and sometimes it is so cool to be in discovery mode! When you get stuck, then ask...you learn so much more that way!! RickieB
Nobodys questions can be more stupid than mine! Yes the members here are wonderful! They are so helpful and never make me feel stupid for my questions.
Randy I do know everything but I know so much I need to ask myself what I know LOL Honestly mate we are all learning that is part of the fun and there is no such thing as a stupid question only possibly a stupid answer
Randy, I have to agree with you. The folks here will help in any way that they can with everyones questions. There's allot of knowledge here from folks like RickieB, Daggarjon, De Orc, Numbers and many others. This is a great place to learn. Lou
I agree, before I came to CT I had never collected paper currency and didn't know anything about it. The desire was there, but I didn't know where to begin. Several members here, especially Rickie, helped guide me and now I have been collecting paper currency for a few years. I don't know everything, but I have learned a lot and I continue to do so.
