My CGA certified $1 1934 Silver Certificate listing on eBay was just removed.

    Reason:
"We had to remove your listing because it didn’t follow our Replica coins and currency policy. Replica currency that follows our rules can be listed on eBay, but replica coins and counterfeit currency are not allowed."

I know that CGA is/was not a well thought of currency TPG.
But is it in the same category as the "Shameless Self Slabbers"?
I thought it was more like the former PCI and SEGS slabbers, legitimate but not well thought of.

    Ah ha!
Further research indicates that CGA is no longer an official currency TPG at eBay.

    Okay.
I'll just remove the note from the CGA holder and relist it raw.
The note is good, just not the TPG.

You don’t have to necessarily remove the note from the holder. Just edit out the upper portion of the holder.

I'm sure this kind of thing is annoying, and their carbon copy message language could have been more precise........ but it's nice to see that Ebay is at least putting in some effort on this front.

Although, in reality, this action probably resulted from their effort to avoid legal liability with counterfeits and is less about protecting us from buying fake collectables :inpain:
