Thanks all! Yeah, I usually leave them slabbed. One thing great about having a "slabbed" coin....its much easier to handle and even show to other collectors. I once brought in a "unslabbed" FDC Macedon/Alexander III AV Stater to our coin club meeting for "show and tell". One member asked if he could take it out of the saflip and....I ended that in a hurry! The two things I do not like about "slabbed" coins are (a) the data is not complete (b) coins/esp. hammered ones are overgraded. Most European/UK auctions only rate slabbed MS-65 as "mintstate" Kunker auctions even had slabbed MS-66 as fast stempelglanz!
