Just found another star note today

My 5th star note, 3rd found in circulation by myself.


Pulled this out of the ATM today. It's my 2nd $20 star. It's nothing special considering the left corner is torn and it has a few testing pen marks and it's from a long run of stars, but i try to save any and all stars I find.




I have two $20's and a $1 i found in circ, as well as a 1935E star note and 1976 $2 that were given to me in crisp condition.

Congrats i wonder what happened to my luck of finding one thing every month. it better not be 8 yrs of drought followed by 2 months of finds and then back to square one. that would annoy me. I have another 6 days to find something

 

nice note Boston Mike. That $20 is a keeper. the corner has that tear, but at least the ripped piece is still there.

 

Nice! I found a star note today as well!! It was kinda a funny story how I got it too! I was waiting in line at the hardware store and the guy in front of me was digging through his wallet to get his money ready for his purchase, being the obsessed freak I am I couldn't help but look at his money as he was thumbing through it.. I noticed a $5.00 bill star note and I just had to start a conversation... Well in the end he traded me $5.00 bills and I got the Star note!! Its a 1999 5 Dollar bill nothing special, the serial # is uncool! (24.7%) and it is circulated, no tears, but several folds... but hey.. its a star note, with a memorable story behind it!

 

Congrats!!! Ive never found a $20 dollar star note. I have $1, $5 and $10 dollar star notes. I'll find a $20 to add to my collection sooner or later. Nice Find!!!

 

indianhead - i have lots of $1, $5, $20 and $50 stars ... i just cant seem to find $10 .... maybe we should trade lol (ok, thats not a real attempt )

 

i find ten stars ALL the time... it's all i find... i'll keep my eyes open and let u know if i find one

 

ahh that sucks too... i saw two of them the other day and both serials started with three zeros... didn't keep it because i didn't need those years

 

What? Nobody is interested in $2 star notes??

i love finding star notes! i have found 5 so far, 1 of them being from my dad. i have found star notes in only $1 bills so far. i guess becuase i go through lots of them. nice find!

 

I usually end up spending $20 star notes.

 

Nice find! I have found a total of nine star notes all together I think. But atleast you have yours, lol. Nice find! :thumb:
