Did all of this happen real late at nite and close to last call at the local bar and grill?

 

Don't know, wasn't there. But in this area a lot of people are digging into coins to buy gas. Three to ten dollars at a time. Clearly the economy is not in the recovery state being advertised on TV, or at least not in all communities.

 

I knew a guy who owned a liquor store and had a substantial coin collection from change.

 

Probably, the only arseholes who use Morgan & Peace dollars to buy gas, beer or cigarettes are the ones who stole them.

On the other hand, I once tried paying the pizza delivery guy using Presidential Dollar coins and he was hesitant to accept them.

 

Our local 711 gets lots and lots of Presidential and Sas coins as well as the rest of the coin herd,
