  1. Not sure if this quarter was brutalized in the mint or after, your thoughts? If it is a mint error , what the world Happened?

    The Bicentennial quarter is missing its clad on the front,

    whats the worth guys?

    maybe a coin started as coin ring by hammering the edge (spooned/hammered) ?

    The top coin has been "spooned". If you want to experiment, take that Bicentennial quarter (that is only worth 25c) and keep tapping its edge with the bottom of a soup spoon, rotating the coin as you go.

    Are you familiar with Occam's razor in its most basic form; that the simpler explanation is usually the better?

    If applied to coins, at least until you've become more familiar, I do believe you'll find it correct far more often than not.
