I bought the last 7 coins I needed, the 1982’s. I’m not a variety collector and these would drive me nuts. As if I’m not there already. Lol The folders and albums are getting filled. Only 13 to go.
I don't think of 1982 cents as being hard to come by, but that's just because they grab my attention when I see them, and that's just because they're so annoying -- I can't quite distinguish zinc from copper by touch, so I have to weigh them before deciding whether to put them into the copper jar, which is annoying, or spend them without checking, which is also annoying. Needless to say, I haven't been paying attention to date varieties. I will say that I don't see very many 1982-Ds here in NC. I should probably try to complete a folder. It would help adjust my attitude.
Just buy the 1982 seven coin set. It’s not expensive and all the hard work of weighing them is done for you.
I’ve gotta take some time for myself and start filling my Whitman albums. I bought all the Lincoln cent ones and I’ve been putting the nicest examples I find to the side. Now the task of choosing which ones to put in!! Great looking album there!
I have never been much of a variety collector, but I did do the varities for the memorial cents. I wanted to have a set with varities and this one was very affordable. I am glad I did it and I also purchased them. It was not expensive and kept it simple. Sometimes I need simple.
I only paid about $.50 cent for each so not a lot of value there. The only one that’s worth real money is the one that only two have been found. I have 10,000 of these cents that are BU snd never been looked at. No telling what’s in that hoard. Lol
