Just common MD correct?

    This is just MD correct???? Generally flat I this always gets me because half the pictures on VV and Wexlers looks flat to me) and so real splitting serifs.

    MD or DDD either way it is worthless doubling.

    I thought so. Im still trying to determine between the two without making quick assumptions. I keep some of these to compare to later to rule out.

    When it's flat like that and the other letters around exhibit the same doubling effect like this, it is going to be MD. Just visualize the coin you are looking at shifting and it should be clear. This isn't specific to letters though.

    DDD takes on a life of it's own and can be a little harder to tell because as error-ref.com mentions:

    "It is often raised but can sometimes be incuse. Incuse DDD is most often seen on copper-plated zinc cents, but does occasionally appear in other issues."

    Ty,,, I did not know that. I never read it could be INCUSE. Good God. Yet another exception to the rules of this already fuzzy, gray game lol!!! Thanks for that tid bit man!
