I just got back from NGC four commemorative half dollars. Three were Iowa commemoratives and one was a Pilgrim. The Pilgrim was black in color but with great luster and the three Iowa were bought in a tube of 90% half's. They were part of a estate and were in the bottem of the tube filled with Franklins and 1964 Kennedy's. They look great with molted toning. The Pilgrim came back as AU details, but the Iowa's came back MS66, MS67, MS67. I am very HAPPY! I prefer toned or rainbow coin in the white NGC holders. I think the white holder shows their colors better. I send coins to PCGS also, They are the only graders I use as their coins bring more resale value. Would have sent pictures but having trouble downloading pictures to my computer.:smile
Nice results on the Iowa pieces. Why would you submit them to NGC if PCGS is all you use for grading?
Wow..that is awesome. Can't wait to see the pictures. Hope all is well at Ellsworth (my old stomping grounds many years ago)
Because he prefers toned or rainbow coins in the NGC white holders. Nice results and look forward to some pictures.
