Just about the weakest strike I have ever seen

    Ran across this Roosevelt dime the other day:

    Not an easy coin to photograph. Interestingly, the straight line on the left side just doesn't show with normal lighting. I can't say I've tried re4aly hard, but I can't find anything on the reverse, but it has to be there. Doesn't it?

    The coin weighs 2.25g

    That coin appears to be a die trial piece. You can confirm that by making sure the piece weighs correctly for a Roosevelt dime (it appears to be clad).

    I would expect at least a little reverse detail on the other side, but not much.

    Wow! If that strike were any weaker, it would be a blank planchet. Nice.
