Matt from @LostDutchman Rare Coins. I would like to sincerely say 'Thank You' to you and your staff at LDRC. When I had to sell that first portion of my collection, that was the first time I had to make that call since I have been collecting on a larger scale (larger for me anyways), and I felt most at ease parting with something I had built over a period of time. You absolutely made sure I had the best customer service experience possible and tended to my needs in all the right ways. Again just my sincerest thanks for being a truly upstanding coin dealer that we as collectors can turn to. I know that not all of my material was a winner, and that says just as much that you would take my 'junk' as quickly as my better stuff. We have all seen the outstanding coins and numismatic material that crosses your desk and I for one appreciate you taking the time for even the smaller guys like myself. Seriously, thanks again, oh and You and Evan rock!
Thanks for the kind words! It's the nicest thing anyone has said about me all week... My wife included LOL! Happy to help!
I was able to settle a school loan for approximately 50% of what I owed with that first deal. The second batch was so I could upgrade my 1853 A/Rs quarter. I couldn't be happier, and hopefully we will have a long lasting coinlationship (just realized we are pretty close in age, I'm 26).
Matt is an upstanding guy and the first person I would go to when I have something that is mutually beneficial.
Dang your a couple kids I thought I was fairly young at 37 as to doing business I think that will happen you posted a bunch of coins I'd like to own but timing the last few months not been good show em to me when things are rolling and I'm buying
I haven't sold all of my good stuff yet and quite honestly after that initial parting with my collection I've been able to focus on better coins. I was collecting my version of a Type Set and was nearing where I wanted to be with maybe 20 coins left to go before I sold. I realized right after I sold them that I wasn't buying things I really liked or necessarily wanted anymore. They basically filled useless holes and occasionally I would add a good coin. I spent a lot of money on hole fillers and now I'm just looking for what i consider good coins. It was definitely an eye opening experience. I loved my coins, had several I wish I would have kept, but after I sold them I realized I didn't love them as much as I thought I did. I'm now buying coins that I LOVE.
I've been doing the same and did the same and I'm realizing no matter how much I love one there's another better one I love more
