hi everyone and thanks in advance. So I’m fairly new to any sort of collecting of bills or anything made of something other than metal lol.

I just have a simple question and I’m hoping one of you can help me identify if any of the pictured bills have Errors or unique characteristics

even just based on potential unique serial numbers, I would greatly appreciate it if you could steer me in the right direction on whether or not I just have six dollars or if there is potentially more value in these. Thanks so much. I appreciate it

edit: I forgot to add two more bills

What you have there is $6. The $2 bills to look for are red seals (1928, 1953, 1963), which are highly collectible, and older, large-size notes, one being an 1899 $2 silver certificate. Red seals are generally worth at least $3 each, and large-size values vary.

Only six dollars even with the serial numbers being unique did you look at the last two as well that I just recently uploaded? One of those also has a missed cut as well as both having interesting serial numbers

Mainly, serial numbers get valuable in the following combinations:

Binary - i.e. 23232323, 45545545, 99991999, 10000001, or any other bill with 2 digits in the serial number

Ladder - i.e. 12345678, 98765432, or "broken" ladders like 17486532, which may bring a small premium

    Radar - i.e. 12344321, 78777787, 94533549

Stars - worth a small premium, last letter is replaced with a star, or first letter depending on the issue period

Sadly the ones you have do not meet these.

For the "missed cut", that is a slightly miscut dollar bill, but only the major miscut bills are worth a lot of money. Outside of the serial numbers above, major errors are about the only other valuable modern currency.

What you have there is $10 worth of spenders.

I see nothing special about those notes. They are spenders.

Sorry, just spenders. They are fun to spend, however, since it is interesting to watch the reaction of the one taking them.
