Hi, I'm wrapping my 'junk copper' and was wondering if seperating the pennies by date would make them sell (in the future of course) better or not.

Thanks for any info., opinions, or ideas.

I don't even roll them but if you had them in date rolls I would imagine the hammer price would be more but then there is no element of surprised.

True about the element of surprise, but then again the rolls are gonna be 1970-1982, with no S's.

My obsessive compulsion would force me to put them up by dates.
Don't think it would matter much for 1970 and newer if they are mixed or not.
They will not bring a lot of money either way.

Don't expect them to sell for lots of $$$, but with all of the speculation out there I figured that I might as well hoard those 95% coppers for a while.

It might make for a better price if you were selling them as coins by date, but is you wind up eventually selling them for the metal value it won't have any effect.

I think it is a good idea. In about 20 years, they will be worth 5x.
