Hello, this denarius was offered me at a price of 200 eur. What do you think about its quality, price, originality...? Thanks in advance.

I suppose I'll echo what has already been posted above. From the photo, it seems genuine and offered at a fair price for the type and grade.

Here's my worn, budget example for comparison---naturally, it sold for less than half of your superior denarius:

I always loved your Caesar Elephant @Mikey Zee ... really cool bankers marks make it! A lot of good circulation wear ensures that it was used by many people at that time!

@gogili1977 , I am sorry that I cannot speak to your proposed authenticity. I never considered myself an expert in any way. I am but an enthusiastic hobbyist who is focused on the history surrounding coins.

Mine is a humble example, but I really like it. I believe I read somewhere that the elephant and snake were a slap at Pompey...

I always find it interesting and sometimes a bit amusing as to what we individually find desirable or tolerable. I was drawn to this denarius because of its wear and bank-marks (and, of course, the JC connection) but others would have passed it by for those very same 'flaws'----naturally, it had to be at my price. But, even at a discount, I nearly passed it by because of the lack of a legible CAESAR legend. Now, I'm happy I went for it and would've regretted it if I didn't. I love imagining all the hands it passed through over so many centuries.... :)

No way to be certain from the photo, but there's no particular reason to doubt its authenticity. Price is very fair because of the very clear and almost complete name.
