Julius Caesar and Augustus - inexpensive

    3 days left.... if you are interested in a inexpensive large portrait coin of Julius Caesar (29mm) - struck under his successor (and adopted son) Octavian/Augustus here is a nice opportunity.. struck 6 years after Caesar's death - to promote Octavian's loyalty (and legitimacy) and during the 2nd Triumvirate (between Octavian, Mark Antony and Lepidus). Eventually Lepidus was exiled in 36 BC, and Mark Antony was defeated by Octavian at the Battle of Actium in 31 BC.
    Octavian became known as Augustus and ruled the Roman world until 14 AD.
    Two of the most important leaders in world history.

    Yes - its worn and a bit crude - but a great piece of history that is 2058 year old.
