This coin is a baffling one to me in the low grade circuits. I know that it is Pontius Pilatus by what's left of the legend and that's about it. It was a cheap order filler when I got my Trajan Decius Antoninianus. I'm planning on getting a better one in the future, but it is on my low priority list right now. I'm leaning more towards lituus obverse, wreath reverse. Judaea, Porcius Festus, Procurator Under Nero 59-62 AD, AE Prutah. 2.1g, 16.29mm OBV: NEP/WNO/C, Legend in a wreath. REV: Palm-branch surrounded by KAICAPOC. REF: Hendin 1351 Judaea, Agrippa I Æ Prutah. Dated Year 6 = 41/42 AD, 2.8g, 17mm OBV: AGRIPA BACILEWC, Umbrella-like canopy with fringes. REV: Three ears of barley between two leaves, date L S at sides. REF: Hendin 553, SGI 5567, AJC II 11 Israel, Alexander Jannaeus, Hasmonean AE Prutah. 103-76 BC, 2.6g, 15.59mm OBV: Three lines of Hebrew text inside wreath. REV: Two cornucopias, pomegranate between them. REF: Hendin 1145. Judaea, Marcus Ambibulus Procurator under Augustus, Æ Prutah. Year 41 = 11 AD. Caesarea, 1.7g, 16mm OBV: KAICAPOC (of Caesar), Head of barley curved right. REV: Eight-branched date palm tree, bearing two bunches of dates, L - MA (year 41). REF: Hendin 1331, Meshorer TJC 315 Alexander Jannaeus, 103-76 BC, AE Prutah. 1.1g, 14mm OBV: Eight ray star surrounded by diadem (or wheel). Hebrew inscription around star. REV: Seleucid anchor inside circle. Hebrew inscription around circle. REF: Pending Post those Judaean coins if you got em'!! I know mine are low grade. I'm planning on upgrading at least two coins in the future, but that is on the low priority list.
