I am looking for a coin club to join, relizing it has it's advantages. I collect US modern coins, some Canadians coins, a spattering of other foreign coins. And, I have just recently begun collecting US small bills.
How many here belong to a coin club?
Can anyone in the Portland, OR area suggest a club (I will be doing a search on Google)?
What advantages do you fing in belonging to a coin club?
    Good Collecting!:loud:

I'm thinking of joining a club in my area Tommy. One of the advantages is getting to talk face to face with some very knowledgeable people. I was told that one of the guys in this club is very adept at distinguishing mint state coins.......this guy can break them down between 60 and 70. I'm looking forward to learning.

I joined a club in Houston last week. I really like it. There is an auction at the end of each meeting in which some really cool items come up.

I am a member of my local coin club. It is a good way to meet other collectors and share your collecting interests with them.

Check out the ANA web site for a list of member clubs.
