By coincidence I've acquired three coins of Roman emperors whose (modern-day) names start with "J" (like me :D), and thought I'd start a countdown to what will be the ultimate J coin in my collection :) (and one of the toughest emperors one could acquire).

First off is Jovian. I've had him before but I ended up selling or giving away the only two coins I had of him. This one is a very nice replacement Jovian for my collection. I am a sucker for problem-free (small, missing chip at the top aside), detailed late Roman busts like this one :D, so I had no qualms about picking this one up. And the reverse. Might be boring for some but that clearness, and detail! Heraclea really had some skilled die engravers back in the mid-late 4th century!

Please post your own coins of Jovian :)

That's a real nice Jovian. Is the patina really dark like the image? My only Jovian:

Its more of an ash color in hand. The next J-coin is basically midnight black with a shiny patina.

Nice. Jovian is the sort of emperor whose reign would've made other emperors feel good about theirs. My Jovian from Heraclea is similar that way.
