There's a discussion of Jeff nickel varieties in this Red Book (pgs 167-169): https://www.amazon.com/Official-Red...d=1486779134&sr=1-1&keywords=red+book+nickels

That discussion mentions a number of references, including these 3 books specific to Jeff nickels:

-- Bernard Nagengast's Jefferson Nickel Analyst 2nd edition
-- The Best of the Jefferson Nickel Doubled Die Varieties by John Wexler and Brian Ribar
-- The Jefferson Nickel RPM Book: An Attribution & Pricing Guide by James Wiles

I only own the Red Book, so cannot comment on the others.

In the interest of full-blown persnickety-ness :), your post might benefit from some punctuation.

Watch this example of punctuation (skip ahead to 45:30):

A great book for all the Major Jefferson varieties, but also has all the clad denominations still circulating today.
I believe that book cost me $17 and ive already made my $$$ back (several times over) One of my favorite past times is buying complete jefferson albums and searching through them, but ive scored with coins found in change or acquired from the bank too. For example, it wasnt even a week after I learned about the '72 T2 Ike Dollar, that i got some from the bank, and BOOM found 2 in the same batch. Profited $100 and probably couldve made more, was i able to grade them accurately. In MS65 its a $1500 coin:banghead:

    VARIETY: 1942-D Over Horizontal D

VARIETY: 1943-P DDO "DOUBLED EYE" Jefferson Nickel FS-106

VARIETY: 1943/2-P Jefferson Nickel FS-101 Overdate

Btw, thank you for reminding me, I have been meaning to update and migrate these posts over to this forum. Hope this is helps.

Is that it? It is. ;)

  15. Thanks for the help! I'm kind of new at this and going alittle overboard maybe on trying to find most of the errors and what not for our current and recent coins. But I'm recently disabled and this is something I can finally take the time to do
