I had 3 boxes in a row in which I found some good stuff like Indian heads, war Nickels from 42-45, couple of 1938’s and 40’s & 50’s. I was able to fill some holes or upgrade what I had. After the first box I went back to the same bank branch hoping for lightning to strike again. When I got lucky the second time I went back again. I even found an Indian head on an end roll ( posted previously) which never happened before. I felt like I was on a roll (should have hit the Hard Rock Casino- but I’m not a gambler). Of course I went back to the same branch a fourth and fifth time. Plodding through these last 2 boxes there were a lot of 2018’s in one box and the last one was just a lot of 70’s thru 90’s until I hit on this little gem mixed in. This 1950d was literally the only coin I pulled from that last box...you just never know!!
Hi, Paul! I was hesitant to consider FS because it looks like there might be a small flaw just above the "TI". Am I just seeing things? Chris
I saw them as well and think they would definitely preclude a 6FS designation from NGC, but I think the coin is solid for NGC 5FS or PCGS FS designation.
That 50-D is nice looking. Almost full steps except for those two small marks. Sounds like you had fun searching those rolls. Great finds too.
No...I found two 1938 ( Prior to this I had none of the 38). Still searching for 38d and s. Also for 39s.
Here’s a column from CoinWeek, from Aug2018 about the 1950d, for anyone that’s interested. https://coinweek.com/coins/coin-profiles/united-states-1950-d-jefferson-nickel/
