Japanese Cho-gin? If not any ideas?

    I received this from my mother. We lived in Japan in the early 70's where I am guessing they got this.
    Is this a Japanese Cho-gin and if not does anyone know what it is? It is approximately 3" long. Thanks

    Looks more like Thai "tiger tongue" money to me, but let's see what a real expert says...

    it is thailand silver bar , used to yuan dynasty to early twentieth century.

    Laotian lat money or “tiger tongue.” The denomination is probably 1 tamlung from the 1700s.
