A buck isn't much to be out if the thing makes you happy or teaches you something about currency, history, collecting... But if you felt you were overpaying why didn't you try to haggle the price or just pass on the note and find one in your price range?

    Not really.

#13-84 in the 2010 Japanese Numismatic Dealers Assn. catalog, is listed at 150 yen
(~$1.82) in average condition, and 100 yen (~$1.21) in poor condition.

he wanted $4 and I talked him down to $1. Im a sucker for WW2 stuff. Thats the first paper bill I have bought so I have to learn. Id rather loose a dollar than a hundred on something i dont know about.... I still think its pretty cool. He had bills from Iran Iraq and and bunch of M. eastern countries.

Many of the WWII era notes are inexpensive and can be had for a couple dollars. Look around and you will find them at lower prices.
