I've seen that bird before (Panama-Pacific $50 Owl)

    I took this photograph at my place near San Francisco recently.

    A pair of owls in a tree
    Pine cones, too.

    The bird looked familiar, somehow.

    From Heritage Auctions via Wikipedia

    To be technical, they are Great Horned Owls and are pretty big birds.
