I've joined CACG, just a short while ago. Now to decide which treasures to send off. Do I pull from my 7070? There's quite a few gems in there. Rifling through my albums to find my "best of the best" (although they're not the "bestest") and maybe some of the most desirable coins there... seems I just signed up for a fair amount of work!

Are there any perks? They give you some free grading with the membership?

Yeah, it was $99 for the year and you get $99 in grading credits. But it's prorated for whenever you join.

Not my coins but the feedback I have heard is that the tendency is to downgrade coins allready in slabs. I am Dutch (Cheap), so I would be looking at quality raw coins if I had those in my collection. good luck. James

As it so happens, about 99% of my collection is raw so I've got that aspect covered pretty well. I'm probably going to shy away from picking out of my type set only because I really like the coins in there and having them slabbed won't quite be the same. I think I'm going to be floored when I find out just how strict they are when assigning a grade though, so I'm likely to keep my first submission a bit on the smaller side.
