Ivdea capta sc coin worth anything

    I have a ivdea capta sc victoria avgvsti coin i dont know how old since no date is on it just wondering if it was worth much

    This has the appearance of a Roman coin, although it is suspiciously round and has nicer surfaces than are usually found on Romans. Perhaps an administrator could move it to the Ancient Coins Forum where you would get a quick answer.

    Put "ivdea capta coin" on google and look at images.

    It appears suspicious to me......It would help if you could post the obverse as well. This 'type' of coin is quite popular and often faked and I would say a modern fake just with a casual glance. Check out the link:

    EDIT: I ee you posted both side on another thread....and it's definitely a tourist token as Doug mentioned and woth whatever spare change you might want to throw at it....unless it was a precious metal, of course.
