Went to a coin show today and picked these toners up!
Most I picked up for other reasons than the toning but I needed another 40D like I need another hole in the head! LOL
Never paid much attention to toning until you showed up on cointalk!

I like the 55 most, but the 40 is nice as well.

Very nice finds. Toned Jeffersons are all over the place out there; the market hasn't really appreciated them, and mostly still doesn't. They're inexpensive and beautiful.

These are all good reasons for you to stop collecting them and leave them out there for me.

Wow, I never realized I had such an impact. I am happy that so many members have taken a liking to toned coins. There is nothing quite like a rainbow toned coin with booming luster in a premium gem grade.

If anyone ever needs an opinion about a toned coin they are interested in purchasing or help finding a particular coin with outstanding toning, feel free to PM and I would be happy to help. Heck, I might even have one in my own collection you could talk me into selling.

That 55 is da bomb Nickelman. My affinity for rainbow toned Jefferson Nickels starts with the war nickels which can be so extremely beautiful that they border on the ridiculous. But finding the regular issues with toning has proven much more difficult and rewarding. You have done a great job with this group, Congrats.

This particular dealer occansionally gets new stock and I have done quite well in the past with varieties form his stock. This time he had a new lot of Jeffersons and I'd say most where nicely toned. Believe me I really had to hold myself back (Kept telling myself looking for varieties not toning) LOL.
the 40D and 55 are the only ones I did purchase for the toning only so all and all I did control myself but after getting home kind of wished I hadn't!

Very nice nickels! I'll bet they spent some time in a Dansco.

I am not too crazy about toning. I prefer full white luster.
