Here is a link to more MS70 coins on ebay.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBUAA:US:43&Item=8435176117 Found it by accident, I wonder how many are actually out there...
If you scroll down in the auction there is a US Mint logo and the words 'Sponsored by the US Mint". Is this possible? How does the seller get away with claiming that?
I have sent the following report to the EBay Community Coin Watch I have also e-mailed the information to the Mint.
Well done Roy. Not that this matters, but look at how sloppy the labels are on his "slabs". I mean, that looks like a label that was created with Word by a kid (maybe not too far from the truth). Hopefully everyone sees this for what it is. Ebay has got to get this under control.
I dont't belive in MS70. Honestly I dont, to make a coin perfect would be impossible... every single coin has to have some scratch or mark somewhere that makes it imperfect, just the act of stamping the metal would do that, even a little wear on the die would cause the coin to not come out MS70, but even in firstrikes I dont belive in MS70. Honestly I would never by an MS70 coin even from a more trusted grading service just because I dont belive that a coin can be perfect. *edit* And thanks to this auction, I will be very very supicious of anything graded by "AGS" from now on.
Ohhh something else I just saw, I looked for AGS on google and found a picture of coins they have slabbed, the slabs on this ebay auction look different.... hrm smells like a phony to me.
