I'm putting together a Small-Size $1 set. Here's my latest addition. $1 1928-E Silver Certificate, PMG VG-08 Not the greatest but it fills the hole.
That number is my budget, and I’m in no hurry. Your note has all the hallmarks of a survivor “wallet” piece. The name explains how the note was technically still in circulation without actually being circulated and the leather brown staining. Most of the Fr.1605’s I see are typically lower grade and higher grade notes, with mid grade notes with original paper being hard to find.
when building a collection any collection you will have difficult notes or Expensive notes that are tough so fillers even though not in the best condition Are always ok in my book
I have most of the early varieties. Still missing: -- 1928-A Experimental X-B block -- 1935 Mule -- 1935 Experimental A-B block -- 1935 Experimental B-B block -- 1935 Experimental C-B block
Oooooo, star note. Nice! I decided way back that I'd ignore them. I'm spending enough just for the regular bills.
I've recently become a fan of paper when I found a stash in my attic, but I still know zip about them. So you're telling me that the toning premiums don't apply to paper money as well? I think it's a lovely shade of leather "toning", it gives it that "yep, I survived suckas" look.
