    ITALY 1902 SILVER 25 CENTESIMI

The weight on this coin should be 4.15.

I weighed the coin and it comes to 3.90. Being off by .25 grams would this make it a counter-fit considering there isnt much wear at all. And the coin looks cleaned to me as well.

Yep looks like it had a cleaning in the past...still a nice coin!

Its about 6% off where it should be. I know that on heavily circulated coins the wear can remove as much as 15 or 20%, but as you said there isn't much wear on it. There is nothing that would lead me to believe it is fake.. granted the fakes are getting to be more and more but the chances they counterfeit this particular coin is not very likely. I think it might be a little light due to a tiny bit of wear. Have you tried your scale with any other coins to make sure its accurate? I think its real and I think its a nice coin despite the cleaning :)

it's just to much difference, so I think it's may be planchet cut of thin rolled stock, or
    wrong stock.
may be you should check out the another stock that they were using for coins.
