    Collecting Nut Borderline Hoarder

    I just found this piece and it’s labeled Italian Silver, Grosso, circa 1700. I’ve had it for about 7-10 years but I know nothing else about it.

    There are many very similar issues which differ basically only by the legend. But I believe yours is:

    Italy, Venice.
    Pietro Gradenigo (Doge), 1289-1311, silver grosso.
    Obv: .PE.GRADONICO. DVX .S.M.VENETI; Doge standing left, St. Mark standing right, Cross between.
    Rev: IC XC Christ seated on throne,
    Attribution: Biaggi 2794
