I did a some research on it, but I couldn't find much. I noticed that mine has an "R" on the bottom, different than others that I found on the internet (all of which had a "KB"). I think it may mean Rome... I really don't know much when it comes to foreign coins, so I've come to ask all you experts! The coin is really detailed and hasn't appeared to have really faded much over the years.
KB stands for Berlin and yes R stands for Rome It has a mintage of 13,901,000 made from Copper Nickel in the reign of Umberto I is numberd KM 28.2 and in my outdated catalouge has a value fro 0.75c=F $2=VF $7=XF $28=UNC $100=BU Hope that is of some help
