it could be venetian or from some other city...looks to be a griffin\bird or lion in a square with 4 stars arranged at the points of the compass..the other side as very little detail...any ideas ..age around 1550?

sorry the pics not so good.

Please post images of both sides as well as the size (in millimeters)
    and weight if possible.

ok heres 2 of the other side..there is some detail to the eye ...

size is 1\2 mm larger than a euro 1cent (so say 17\18 mm) and weight around 2 grams..although could be less as its thin

this might be better....think the coin is the wrong way around and it's a venetian lion with an open book....next to it is a venetian found the same day on one side it as L*A ...so does the smaller coin.
my problem is a lack of reference material for these copper coins..silver im ok with.also if its a winged lion as a soldino it's before 1500 i believe.
