it could be venetian or from some other city...looks to be a griffin\bird or lion in a square with 4 stars arranged at the points of the compass..the other side as very little detail...any ideas ..age around 1550? sorry the pics not so good.
ok heres 2 of the other side..there is some detail to the eye ... size is 1\2 mm larger than a euro 1cent (so say 17\18 mm) and weight around 2 grams..although could be less as its thin
this might be better....think the coin is the wrong way around and it's a venetian lion with an open book....next to it is a venetian found the same day on one side it as L*A ...so does the smaller coin. my problem is a lack of reference material for these copper coins..silver im ok with.also if its a winged lion as a soldino it's before 1500 i believe.
