Still us but the shape has been changed. These are elongated or rolled cents, all from Chincoteague, VA. It’s a National Seashore with lifeguards from Memorial Day until Labor Day. A wonderful place to spend at the beach. Good food and the people that live there are very friendly. Their famous lighthouse. They have a small museum with the original light from this lighthouse.
This one is advertising a store that sells clothing, souvenirs and sweets. It’s called Pony Tails. They make delicious fudge and they have a taffy pulling machine. They produce about 25-30 varieties of taffy.
And of course there’s the wild ponies. The ponies run free on the island but they are fended in so they can’t hurt you. Their diet is Marsh Grass do they have a high salt content.
