I don't CRH, but I do save all my cents prior to 1982 just because. Today I decide to look for anything unusual from my last few months set asides. A couple of rusted Steelies , a 1944 wheatie and nothing else except this. Now I know it's nothing special, just one of 380,200,104 minted, but she sure would have been a nice find in MS65. Anyway, I like it and thought I would share. Wonder where it had been hiding all these years.
I don't get it? Its not even that good of condition? I find wheet pennies in better condition than this.
Just a nice, 42 year old coin with a lot of remaining red and mint luster in AU-EF condition with a S mint mark found in circulation. I would like to see a photo of one of the wheat cents you have found in circulation that is in better condition. Like I said, it aint much, just strange to find.
I found this 1955 S a few months ago at work and was shocked when I saw it in this condition. Yours has a nice red tone to it but I think the pictures are a bit dark which makes it hard to see how nice the coin really is.
Nice! I am still learning a new camera with functions I am not used to. Retook with a few tweaks. No photo software tweaks used. Came out with a little less contrast and better color.
I got a 1910 wheatie out of a coin roll i got from the bank. I was a bit suprised that the surface hadn't rubbed competely off after 104 years of circulation.
