    i was looking at dons gallery of world coins

    and saw all the coins from isle of man and they are very nice

    but where is the isle of man

    Yes, some of those IoM coins are nice. But of course they are primarily made and issued for collectors ...

    The Isle of Man is an island in the Irish Sea, between the British mainland and Ireland. Surprisingly enough, this island is not a part of the United Kingdom, but has its own parlement, the Tynwald. It is, like the Channel Islands, a Crown dependency, and ressorts directly under the British crown. So, the British monarch is head of state of the island.
