I'm usually able to find them, but I don't see this one in Krause for any of the countries listed as using the Piastre denomination.

Thanks Matt. I'd better make an appointment with my Optometrist! The picture is on the same Krause page as another coin from the same batch that I had IDed, and I just plain didn't see it!

However, it is clearly dated AH1333, and KM#318.2 is listed only for AH1335, as are the 10, 20 and 100 Piastres of the same basic design. Any thoughts?

UPDATE I just noticed that the pictures of all four coins clearly show the AH1333 date even though the text says AH1335. Is it possible that Krause screwed up? I sure don't see a "3" anywhere to indicate that the coins were issued in the third year of a reign.

Accession date is AH1333, minting date is at the bottom on the denomination side 1917 1335

    KM# 318.1, no H mintmark

    I agree :)

Hussein Kamil ruled as a Sultan from AH1333-1336/1914-1917AD, and this coin is struck AH1335/1917AD

    Nice coin :)
