to celebrate my ascension to the throne of #1 in indian coins on the PCGS registry. i have made a new purchase. Lets play guess the grade i know i am supposed to post a pic on the 6666 thread but that coin will have to wait a while i am still trying to fix the modalities scottish this one is called isabella and no thats not me naming the coin enjoy guys another coin from the spock collection
Can't get a good look at it at the image scale, but I'd say MS-65 at a minimum. I can't see any marks in the major focal areas except possibly on the reverse. Larger image needed. MS-67 is within the realm of possibility.
Now that's a coin I'm looking for but at least 3 grades higher then I can afford , fields look real clean MS-66 , nice coin . rzage
That's the way to do it find a higher grade coin in a lower grade slab , now if only I could do it . rzage:kewl:
I can't stand to look at it..... you know that looking at it just tortures me. I would have to say that is a solid 66. The obverse looks extremely clean. The reverse looks very nice as well. Solid coin.
Yes. Yes it is. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say PCGS MS66. Regardless of what they say, it's a great coin.
memebers please bring all you isabella coins for display we have to get the evil spirit out of joe and i know of no better medicine
I see no obverse problems. The marks I saw on the reverse are definitely there in front of Liberty. They are more like light rubs rather than dings. Just enough to break the natural surface. MS-66 seems more likely now (but I'm still rooting for a MS-67.)
All Isabella 25c are counterfeits. Know how you can tell ? Look carefully at the reverse. It says "Board of Lady Managers"... yet the coin is dated 1893 ! And we're told women "weren't allowed" to have jobs back then !
