Ok...so I got this 1941 S Jefferson nickel in some change yesterday. Is this the large "S" or the small "s"? And does anybody know ..in this condition ...a value? 20210828_170325.jpg

Nice find, and still in circulation after all of these years.

I didn't mention value, but this coin would be less than a dollar from what I see. I have a small S but no large! Nice find. You should start a date set if you haven't.

I also have a 1942 Lincoln penny that has never been touched by a naked hand. I can say this because of the perfect condition...as well it was in a glass jar when I was given it as a gift. 20200923_061410.jpg

The Large S were only produced for a short period of time. As a result, most 1941S Jefferson Nickels were small S. From my coin roll searching days, less than 1-in-10 were large S. And based on condition, the value of the large S can be 10x higher than small S.

Thanks guys. I appreciate your responses. I have also found another 1941 nickel with no mint mark already in my collection. (I keep my coins in a jar still) lol. But for some reason the nickel is what I have the most verity of. (Of 3 different designs.)
