I noticed the seller is new to ebay. What does that say? As to the coin, I've emailed someone to find out if it is real or not and if it isn't, the listing may be short lived. Ribbit, Toad :smile
Obviously some kind of fantasy "coin" or medal. I liked this in his description: "super smooth cherubic cheek"
I actually found a 3 dollar bill on Ebay! It was from the late 19th century and the state of Louisiana. It made me wonder, what with Mardi Gras, is this where that old saying "Queer as a three dollar bill" came from? Ribbit, Toad :smile
Certified by the U.S. Mint... If it wasn't for that, the auction would be legal, albeit shady, but now he's gone and flown too close to the sun.
Just because the mint didn't say the coin was legal doesn't mean the auction is. People will say anything and twist the facts to sell coins. Sad.
Hey well look at the bright side. Here first feedback on ebay is going to be a NEGATIVE one......GOod way to start off
Did someone say . . . 3 Dollar Bill: Code: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-Bullion-Bank-Washington-DC-Payable-US-Notes-1862_W0QQitemZ300209156371QQihZ020QQcategoryZ3420QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD2VQQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p1638.m122 Ribbit - Ribbit - Ribbit
Guys, I know the listing is a little shady but it is legit. He said "This 2008 Obama Coin GEM retains luster and frosting as if it just came from the mint." He never said it was struck at US Mint. There are other mints that strike coins and bullion rounds and such. Just thought I would throw in my 2cents.
I disagree, there is only one "the mint", it should read "as from a mint or a private mint" or the name of the private mint. The description is mint to deceive.
Look a little harder. Certification: U.S. Mint Anybody seen them on the U.S. Mint website? I just asked him a simple question. "What mint do these come from?" He'll hang himself.
