    PMD or packaging issue???

I noticed this picture and I should say that I boldly agree with PMD. However, if you understand the base of this "error", you will doubt oif PMD is really the correct name to put on the "error".

When coins are shrinked into a roll, the outer end of the roll is pushed together by fingers to be sure the roll is tight. It is a well known fact that these fingers sometimes scratch the outer coins of the roll, leaving a typical circular marking on the outer coins.

A packaging issue IS post mint damage. Post mint damage covers any damage that happens to a coin after it leaves the machine that created it.
