Is this normal for a 22 St Gauden?

    Personally I wouldn't even buy that coin! I can't answer your question but look at her nose, I wouldn't buy anything that banged up! As far as your question maybe it's related to a variety!

    No it is not normal. And the issue is not known for a weak strike. But that looks to be what this coin suffers from. And since there are so few of this coin in 65 slabs, less than 25 total, and since it is a $30k and up coin in that grade - I would never buy it because I feel it is drastically over-graded.

    How is it that coins like this get drastically over-graded? It's not like a problem that developed in the slab after it left PCGS...

    Ahh Lead I think you nailed it. I wasn't considering buying it but was curious about it. Thanks. I also agree the coin is much over-graded.

    finally someone got it. but imho teletrade is just not the place you go for expensive coins
