I was looking at my silver dollars and noticed my 1921 Morgan dollar's lettering (mostly the "B","I",stars, and parts of head dress) , head dress were different then the rest of mine. Did they change the dies in 1921, or is it a counterfeit.

P.S. The second to last picture is of a 1886 Morgan dollar's "B","I",and part of head dress.

    Thanks,

If it's a fake, you can weigh it, and also see if it attracts a magnet.

The weight is 26.73 grams, and may come slightly under that due to circulation wear.

I see nothing to lead me to believe it's a fake.

I'll leave the die characteristics to the Morgan folks, but I will say that if anyone could produce such a nice realistic looking counterfeit, they wouldn't be making 1921's...... :)

No, it's perfectly legit. The 21s are not of the same design as the earlier dates.
