Clearly this is a problem coin, but i am wondering if it is matte proof? Obverse rims look square and the surfaces look, well, different. Coin definitely looks too bright for the amount of wear. its is going off in 40 minutes and i am not bidding, just wonder what some of the "experts" think. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300526855773&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
My exact thought also. There is lots of evidence around the rim that looks like it was encased in something at some point...
look at the guy's feedback all his coins are definitely cleaned, i personally bought from and he claimed that "details" means that he suspected it was cleaned.... he is total bull...i feel sorry for anyone who falls into his trap, and a lot do
Clearly not a proof. The rims aren't right at all. And the coin looks like its been polished BADLY or something.
In numismatic terminology a "details" grade does mean that something about the coin prevented an actual grade. Numismatically there is all the difference in the world between an MS64 grade and an MS64 details grade. The seller could have whizzed the coin himself, but his photo does clearly show it and he tells you grade it yourself...and he tells you it's a details grade. These should all be warning signs unless you agree with his "details" grade and are just looking for a cheap album filler.
very helpful that you pick now to tell me .... i got my money back so i'm happy either way...if you look at the feedback its surprising at how many people can't tell that they are cleaned
