GD, how can you tell it is off center and not a mis-aligned die? Personally unless part of the design is missing I wouldn't call it an off-center even if both sides were shifted like that in the same direction. What I'm seeing I would call either a misaligned dies or an uncentered broadstrike if there is evidence the collar was not present.
This is a misaligned die error I would saw it's off about 3 percent no big deal. i have one 5 percent off they don;t fetch a good premium unless there off at least 15 percent or more. Jazzcoins Jooe
I can't, and did not mean to imply that I could. But then I was not speaking to the cause, I was merely speaking to the point that the design is slightly off center of the planchet. And the original question was not what caused it either, merely asking if it was off center - and it is.
Can you take a better photo, Just get the coin crop your photo. and resize the coin. Might be worn down put can't tell.
