Is this Emp. Valentinian ?

    Hello. I can scarcely read Valen on the obverse of this Roman coin . The reverse seems also clear and interesting to me. I could read Republica.. Could you please assist me to better identify it? Thanks.. Charles Rep O.jpg Rep R.jpg

    Close! It's his brother, Valens, Eastern Roman Emperor.

    Victory walking left, holding wreath and palm. Star in left field. SECURITAS REI PUBLICAE, or safety of the commonwealth. ANT = Antioch mint. Gamma = 3rd officina.
