    The term "flat and shelf-like" is often used to describe machine doubling, but I've never heard it used to describe die deterioration doubling.

    Yeah yeah yeah haha whatever okay I'll give you that Chris haha ;) I get the two confused all the time but I do think i have an understanding on what needs to be understood and that's all that matters cause the two ddd and md are worthless so it's worthless to understand and that's my defense hehe ;) just kidding with you Chris

    Maybe this will help you, Tyler. (I hope I can explain it properly.)

    If the secondary strike is uneven and does not follow the lines of the primary strike (look at the "1") it means that the walls of the incuse areas of the die are wearing down and should be considered deterioration.
