Doesnt look like a woody....is this environmental dmg or something?

I'm no specialist, but it sure looks like damage to me.

It does have a wood-grain effect which only shows through with environmental damage / toning. I say handled with dirty fingers before being it storage for 40 years.

 

You sure they didnt release these in special marked boxes of frosted flakes?

 

I think that was 1968.

 

For one cent throw it in a bin and keep it.
