Is this authentic?

I'm not very good at authentication, can anyone tell me if this is real? the "huge O" looks to defined. seller's pix

It should be extremely defined like that as the mintmark was punched into the die separately. I will lean towards real but I wouldn't buy something for that much money off those blurry pictures. I need to be 100% sure.

If it is questionable, you could ask for it to be graded by PCGS/NGC and offer to pay his price + the grading fee if real. the pictures are too blurry to even tell. I would need clear pictures including the edge to tell if the wear is legit as well as weight.

 

I agree. I do not think the Fair 2 (if that is what it says) is correct, but grading is the only way to find out.

The coin looks right from the photo. Fair 02 is the 2nd lowest grade, and I have to disagree with Phil, the grade seems absolutely accurate. It's not G 04 and the only higher grade could be AG 03.
It should be worth more than $500.

Only a grading joint really knows what fair is. If mine was less then g3. I’d would label it fair. That coin needs to be graded before I’d drop that kinda money. I’d buy a pinky ring cuz I’d really wonder if I did the right thing.
