IMG_20140606_000954-1.jpg IMG_20140606_000954-1-1.jpg I got a 2006 Philadelphia Mint Lincoln cent from circulation because I liked the toning. I don't know much about varieties or errors, but I do know a little bit about the close a.m. varieties. the only problem is I don't know what years are rare and which ones are normal so I will leave it up to the CT community. I tried looking up information about this particular variety but I couldn't find anything.

you have a close AM, normal for 2006, the varieties to look for are 1998, 1999 and 2000 wide AM's, or the rare 1992 close AM..

hi i found a grt list believe it or not, by typing in your URL as: So what exactly is a close AM and a wide AM cent. There is a ebay.com/gds/ what I wrote above that's has the list and explanation.
Here it goes though, 1992 is supposed to be a wide variety with the Close one for 1992 and 1992-d being rare. In 1993 it changed to coins having a close AM as the norm. Then there is the 1998-s & 1999-s Proof strike close AM being rare. Then there is the 1998, 1999 and 2000 Wide AM being rare after that they should all be close AM through 2008.

I learned the best way to check(from guys here) is by looking at the initials on the reverse: close initials to the monument=wide AM and far initials from the monument=close AM.
Hope I did all of that right and hope it is helpful!
