Is this an error penny?

I just recently started searching for unique coins and found this wheat penny. It looks like it may be an error coin. Half the word 'trust' is missing, the '4' in 1940 looks awkward and (its hard to tell) the 'r' in 'liberty' almost looks like a 'b'. I cannot find out anything about it online. I was wondering if you could tell me for sure if it is an error and, if so, whats the value of something like this.

its PMD post mint damage. Look closely and you can see where a coin counter or something spun around the coin just inside the rim.

Thanks, I guess I'll keep looking... is it easy to tell most errors by the naked eye or should i get a magnifyer? I feel as though if you need to look with a magnifyer, then it wouldnt be worth much to a collector.

At least a 16x to see some decent stuff.
